Side Yard

The yard to the South of the house contains another rain garden as well as a woodland shade garden. The woodland garden area was originally turf grass, as were all of the other native garden areas on the property. The woodland garden features such shade loving plants as Great Solomon's Seal, Plumed Solomon's Seal, Green and Gold, Woodland Aster, Jack in the Pulpit, Green Dragon, Merrybells, Trillium, Bloodroot, Twin Leaf, Sharped Lobed Hepatica, Foam Flower, Virginia Bluebells, Spikenard, Bottlebrush Grass, wild raspberry, and various ferns.
